Bermondsey Huts, Back Lane, Turners Hill

Location and Meeting Point

Once in Back Lane look for the Nature Nurture Sussex signs on the side of the road signifying the entrance to the site. The car park is located just inside the gate on one side of a grassy field. You will be able to see the camp on the other side of the field. In dry weather it is possible for anyone with mobility issues to drive across the field to camp. Please let us know in advance if you intend to do this.

Late Arrivals

If you arrive late you will be able to see us in the camp from the car park. The group might have gone for a walk in the woodland, but one of the leaders will remain in camp until everyone has arrived.

Facilities

Toilets and hand washing facilities are available inside the huts adjacent to the car park.

East Grinstead

Busses Farm, Harwoods Ln, East Grinstead RH19 4NL

Location and Meeting Point

Follow Harwoods Lane until you reach the barn and houses. Turn right after the pond in front of the barn. Please park at the end of the lane by the bee hives.

We will meet you on the corner by the swing (pictured below) and point out where the toilets are. We will then walk together down to the woods. The walk is quite short, but if this is a challenge to anyone it is possible to drive. However, as there are only 2-3 parking spaces adjacent to the woodland this might mean car sharing or shuttling where appropriate. We can organise this before we set off.

Late Arrivals

To get to the site walk back down the lane you drove in on until you get to Peet’s Layby on the righthand side. Here you will find a path leading into the woodland. Follow the path until you reach our camp. If you arrive late please come and find us in the woods. Please come straight to the main camp area with your children so we can tell you any important information you might have missed.

Facilities

Toilets are located in the buildings on the left as you drive between them and approach the car park.

East Grinstead (Saint Hill)

East Grinstead Sports Club, Saint Hill Road, East Grinstead, RH19 4JU

Location and Meeting Point

The woodland is located at the far end of the car park at East Grinstead Sports Club. We will meet you in the right hand corner next to the emergency access barrier.

Late Arrivals

If you are late you can find us by going through the barrier and following the path down the hill. When you reach the bottom of the hill you will get to the Leaders parked cars. Here you will find a path on the left. Follow this path until you reach the camp on the right hand side of the track.
